Hakkasan: Classy Ramadan Meals With Authentic Asian Touches

Jakarta. If you choose to stay in Jakarta during the Lebaran holiday, and like many other suddenly maid-less families have to rack your brain to find a good meal for iftar, then Hakkasan could be the perfect choice for your last day of Ramadan.
The restaurant, first opened in London in 2001, opened its Jakarta outlet early this year, smack bang in the middle of the SCBD business district.
During Ramadan, Hakkasan has been offering a special meal package comprising a mocktail, an appetizer, a main course and a dessert.
The Yangzhou Rose mocktail is a combination of pomegranate molasses, rose water, lychee and citrus. It's a great thirst-quencher after a whole day of fasting.
The vegetarian dim sum platter and crispy quail egg puff are perfect light meals to ease your way into the main course. The platter is made up of morel crystal, Sichuan mabo dumpling, truffle bean curd roll and olive sugar snap dumpling.
You get a choice of four dishes for your main course: a tiger grouper with spicy Asian sauce, sea salt baked yellow chicken with Chinese herb, stir-fried black pepper beef rib eye or three-style mushroom stir-fry with gai lan and macadamia nut. All served with a side of jasmine rice.
One of the best things about the main courses is that, whichever one is your choice, Hakkasan obviously doesn't skimp on the original Asian spices.
The dessert choice is simpler, Es Teler (mixed fruit in iced coconut milk) or a fruit platter. If your belly isn't too full, don't skip on the Es Teler.
Hakkasan Jakarta is located on the 25th and 26th floors of the Alia SCBD Hotel in South Jakarta. It's open for lunch and dinner from Sunday to Saturday.
