Jakarta. Famous Australian travel agency Helloworld includes Indonesian tourist destinations in its packages, in line with an increasing demand for Indonesia tours in Melbourne.
"There will be five destinations offered by Helloworld. Hopefully, the agency will bring tourists to many places, not only Bali," Visit Indonesia Tourism Officer (VITO) Emil Hardy Ridwan said in a statement received on Monday (27/11).
The five destinations are Lombok, Jakarta, Makassar in South Sulawesi, Labuan Bajo in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, and Yogyakarta. The packages were designed with several airlines, especially Garuda Indonesia.
"Indonesia is a beautiful country, we are optimistic that many more Australian tourists will visit destinations other than Bali," Helloworld Westfield Southland owner Daniel Addiecoat said.
According to Tourism Ministry representative Priyantono Rudito, beside offering regular tourist attractions, the tourism industry must also prepare to welcome tourists with more specific expectations.
"For example, golf, diving and sports tourism. We must improve the network and marketing for this part of the tourism sector," Priyantono explained.
