Indonesian Band Float to Perform for Fans on Karimunjawa Islands

JUNE 09, 2016

Jakarta. Indonesian band Float is known for their annual event Float2Nature, where they invite their fans to travel to a nature destination in the country and watch the band perform.

After a one-year hiatus, Float2Nature will return for the fourth time this year with a trip to Karimunjawa Islands, Central Java, on Sept. 17 and 18.

"Float2Nature is a collaborative project between the management team of Float and a group of their loyal supporters [...] presented in an event that combines three key elements: music, travel and nature," the organizers said on the event's website. "Float2Nature encourages fellow floatmates [a nickname for Float fans] to leave the big city for a while, taking a back-to-nature trip."

Participants will depart with a boat from the Tanjung Mas harbor in Semarang, Central Java, to reach the islands. Float will perform their soothing songs in a mini concert held against the natural backdrop of Karimunjawa.

There are currently 500 seats available on the trip with ticket package priced at Rp 2,000,000 ($150). Registration will take place between July 11 and Aug. 15.

The first edition of Float2Nature was held in Dieng in Central Java in 2012, followed by events in Tanakita, West Java, and Kiluan Bay, Lampung, in subsequent years.
