Jakarta. Grammy award-winning singer and guitarist John Mayer is set to entertain his local fans at Indonesia Convention Exhibition in Tangerang, Banten, on April 5.

The singer's Third Eye Management and local promotor Dyandra Mas Entertainment have announced tickets will go on sale on Jan. 25. Fans are advised to visit the official website since there will be no presale tickets.

Mayer's 2019 World Tour will kick off in New Zealand in March before moving on to Australia, Thailand and Singapore. Jakarta will be the third stop of his Asian tour before China and Japan in mid-April.

In December last year, Mayer’s management announced that they were still trying to find the right artist to open for the hitmaker. However, a recent official press release said there will be no opening act for Mayer's concert.

Mayer, who released his latest single "New Light" last year, will play songs from almost all of his albums – Continuum (2006), Battle Studies (2009), Born and Raised (2012), Paradise Valley (2013) and The Search for Everything (2017) – in the upcoming tour.

The 41-year-old artist's biggest hits include "Gravity," "I'm Gonna Find Another You," "Heartbreak Warfare," "Half of My Heart," "Clarity," "Your Body Is a Wonderland," "Stop This Train" and "Love on the Weekend."

Mayer, who released his debut album "Room For Squares" in 2001, has won seven Grammy awards and has earned a record seven US No. 1 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart and 25 entries on the Hot Rock Songs Chart.

The sensitive singer-singwriter, rarely seen without his avoustic guitar, has also earned more than any solo pop artists in his time.

In 2005, Mayer and his friends – bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan – formed a rock band called "The John Mayer Trio." The band called it quits a year later in 2006 after releasing a live album "Try!," which was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards.

The trio made a brief comeback to promote Mayer's new album "The Search For Everything" on his 2017 World Tour.

There are rumors the trio might join Mayer on stage again this year, but nothing has been confirmed.
