Jakarta. Members of the Red and White Cabinet were flown on Thursday to the military academy complex in Magelang, Central Java, for a retreat with President Prabowo Subianto.

The president used a brand-new Hercules C-130J military transport plane to carry over 100 ministers, vice ministers, and heads of state agencies to the Adi Sucipto Air Force Base in Yogyakarta. From there, they continued the journey to Magelang by bus.

For many participants, it was their first time flying on a military aircraft, adding excitement to the trip, according to presidential spokesman Hasan Nasbi.

They departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in East Jakarta at 1:40 p.m. for the hour-long flight to Yogyakarta.

“It was a completely new experience for the ministers, who sat together in long, side-facing rows. They were all in high spirits, busy taking selfies,” Hasan said.

The three-day retreat is aimed at strengthening coordination among cabinet members and fostering closer relationships, he added.

President Prabowo has expressed his desire for the cabinet to operate like a "super total football team," Hasan noted.

To accommodate the retreat, organizers have set up 120 tents on the slopes of Mount Tidar, a well-known training area for military cadets.

Local tourist attractions, including the Mount Tidar Botanical Garden, will remain closed to the public until Sunday.

Prabowo’s cabinet consists of 48 ministers, 59 vice ministers, and five heads of state agencies.
