Snoop Dogg to Release New Rap Album 'Cool Aid'

JUNE 09, 2016

Jakarta. American hip-hop star Snoop Dogg is slated to release his latest album, "Cool Aid," on July 1, as reported by AFP on Wednesday (08/06).

"Cool Aid" will be his 14th studio album as well as his first rap album in five years, after mainly dabbling with reggae and R&B in that period.

On Tuesday, Snoop Dogg released the music video for the album's first single, "Kush Ups." The bouncy track features his fellow hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa.

Both rappers also announced that they will go on a joint North America tour, starting in West Palm Beach, Florida, on July 20.

Snoop Dogg first made his debut in early 1990s with the album "Doggystyle," which sold nearly a million copies in the first week of its release. He has received 17 Grammy nominations to date, but he has never won an award.

"Cool Aid" will follow his 2015 record, "Bush," which features guest appearances from a diverse slate of musicians, from Stevie Wonder and Kendrick Lamar to Gwen Stefani and Rick Ross.
