Jakarta. The Indonesian Student Association, or PPI, of Thailand officially launched the Thailand chapter of Generasi Wonderful Indonesia, or GenWI, at the Central World Mall in Bangkok on Sunday (19/11) to promote Indonesian tourism online.
The launching was attended by the ministry’s secretary Ukus Kuswara, the ministry’s communication staff Don Kardono and official of Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok Mustari.
GenWI will actively help spread photos, videos, graphics and text stories of tourism destinations as well as events in Indonesia on digital platforms.
"In foreign countries, GenWI will be ready to promote Indonesian tourism to the people from where they reside through social medias," Ukus said in a statement on Monday.
The online community is expected to follow the code ethics of the domestic chapter of Generasi Pesona Indonesia (GenPI), which forbids the distribution of fake news or inflammatory articles on politics, religion, ethnicity or group issues.
