Pertamina Arden's Nato and Gelael Ready for F2 Race in Austria
Jakarta. Formula Two constructor Pertamina Arden seeks to keep its two drivers — Norman Nato and Sean Gelael — in good form ahead of the upcoming race at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, on Saturday (08/07) and Sunday.
French racer Nato, 24, finished fifth in the feature race and won the podium in the sprint race at F2's fourth round in Baku, Azerbaijan, in June.
He is currently eighth out of 23 in the drivers' standing.
"We're all set for the Spielberg race," Nato said in a statement on Thursday.
Sean, though still with no point in the standing, finished 10th in the sprint race in Baku, where his feature race did not count due to an accident. He reached the Spielberg podium last year.
"The team always evaluates previous races, of course I had a good one at the Red Bull Ring, but we still need to work hard for the next one," the 20-year-old Indonesian racer said.
F2 counts points based on the feature and the sprint race results.
Drivers at the upcoming Red Bull Ring round need to finish 40 laps of the feature race with one pit stop on Saturday, and 28 laps in the sprint race on Sunday.
The race will be the fifth round of the F2 series this year, which started in Bahrain in April.
