April Group Participates in 32nd Trade Expo Indonesia
Jakarta. Asia Pacific Resources International Holdings Limited, better known as the April Group, which controls one of the largest pulp and paper companies in the country, is participating in the 32nd Trade Expo Indonesia outside Jakarta.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Trade and aimed at expanding the country's export markets, is showcasing the products of 300 Indonesian exporters. More than 16,000 visitors are expected to attend the exhibition, which started at the Indonesia Convention Center in Tangerang, Banten, on Wednesday (11/10).
April's booth with the theme "Global Partner for Sustainable Resources," aims to support the government's drive for sustainable investment in the country, the company said in a statement.
President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo opened the exhibition, followed by the keynote speech by Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita.
April said in the statement that as an exporter of pulp and paper, it has been successful in selling its products, especially under its flagship PaperOne brand, in more than 70 countries.
The company's booth also promotes its Ecosystem Restoration Program in Riau, which is a collaboration with some environmental nongovernment organizations, including Bidara, Fauna & Flora International and the Nature Conservancy, as part of its commitment to preserve the environment in its area of operation.
