Nail Mines
A member of the Clean Sweep Volunteer Community, or Komunitas Relawan Sapu Bersih (Saber), shows the results of their operations at the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle in Central Jakarta on Sunday (07/08). The volunteer group routinely sweeps public roads for so-called nail mines that are scattered by unscrupulous persons throughout the city to puncture and damage vehicle tires, in order to create business for repair shops. The volunteers claim to have picked up approximately 1,4 tons of nails from city streets between 2010 and 2016. (Antara Photo/Puspa Perwitasari)
