Anies and Ganjar Supporters Embrace 2024 Election Outcome: LSI Denny JA

Jakarta. According to a recent survey conducted by pollster Lingkaran Survei Indonesia (LSI) Denny Januar Ali, the majority of voters from the losing presidential candidates Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo have embraced the outcome of the 2024 Presidential Election.
Ardian Sopa, a senior researcher at Lingkaran Survei Indonesia (LSI) Denny JA, revealed that 89.9 percent of respondents accepted the General Election Commission's (KPU) decision to declare Prabowo Subianto as the winner of the 2024 Presidential Election in a single round.
Sopa further disclosed that 90.3 percent of Ganjar's voters accepted the election outcome, while Anies' supporters agreed at 79.9 percent, and Prabowo's voters accepted it at 93.8 percent.
"Most voters from each unsuccessful candidate have already acknowledged the KPU's decision. Persisting further could be viewed as an ungracious refusal to accept defeat," said Ardian in his statement on Tuesday.
Regarding the electoral dispute lawsuits filed by the Anies and Ganjar camps with the Constitutional Court (MK), he noted it contradicted public sentiment, given that the majority have accepted the outcome of the 2024 Presidential Election.
"Filing a lawsuit with the MK is a constitutional right and a legal avenue. However, treating the MK as a means of holding the candidates or their campaign teams 'accountable' for their loss and searching for scapegoats should be avoided," he added.
Ardian expressed concerns that persistently rejecting the KPU's decision and accusing them of fraud might result in negative public sentiment rather than garnering support.
The survey conducted by LSI Denny JA took place from March 1-15, utilizing a multistage random sampling approach. The survey's margin of error stands at approximately 2.9 percent. It involved 1,200 respondents, and data collection was through face-to-face interviews employing questionnaires.
Respondents were asked whether they would agree or disagree if the KPU declared the Prabowo-Gibran pair as the winners in a single round. Approximately 89.8 percent agreed with the KPU's decision, 9.3 percent disagreed, and 0.9 percent were uncertain or did not respond.
