Ari Dwipayana Replaces Teten Masduki as Presidential Spokesman

Jakarta. Ari Dwipayana, a special staff to the state secretary, was appointed to replace Teten Masduki for the position of presidential spokesman, Antara news agency reported.

Earlier this month, Teten, an anti-corruption activist and former lawyer, was promoted to the president’s chief of staff, replacing Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan who now serves as the Coordinating Minister for Politics, Legal and Human Rights.

Ari, who hails from Ubud, Bali, was a researcher at think thank Institute for Research Empowerment Yogyakarta. He also served as a lecturer of social-politics at Gadjah Mada University.
