Asean Business Awards Winners to Attend Global Leadership Program

NOVEMBER 21, 2016

Jakarta. Three business leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations were awarded scholarships to attend the Asean Global Leadership Program in the United States next year.

The scholarships went to Win Win Tint of Myanmar, Anusia Ramasamy of Malaysia, and Jhondie Abenaza of the Philippines, for winning the Asean Business Awards' "Young Entrepreneur," "Woman Entrepreneur" and "Best Innovative SME" categories, respectively.

The scholarships are provided by the Asean Business Advisory Council and management consultancy SRW&Co., who signed a memorandum of understanding in June this year to forge a strategic partnership.

The Asean Global Leadership Program 2017 will take place at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley from May 8 to 12. With the theme "Shaping Our Future as Leaders of Innovation," the program will cover key topics, including globalization, innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership.

A group of 30 senior executives from Southeast Asian countries are expected to attend.
