Jakarta. The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has seized a luxurious mansion owned by Thamron, also known as Aon, one of the suspects in the alleged corruption case involving the tin commodity trading business license (IUP) of the tin mining company Timah from 2015 to 2022.

Chief of the Legal Information Center at the AGO, Ketut Sumedana, said the house is located at Crown Golf Utara Number 7, Summarecon Serpong, Banten.

"The Asset Tracing Team at the Directorate of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes has found a house with an area of 805 square meters owned by the suspect TN," Ketut announced on Thursday.

The mansion features a classical architectural style with large, stately columns and ornate capitals supporting the portico roof. The building boasts an elegant, neoclassical facade with intricate detailing, and the walls are finished in a light, stone-like material, reminiscent of European palaces or high-end estates.

Ketut explained that Aon purchased the house around July 2018. He indicated that the house is suspected to be a result of corruption in the tin case, which caused a state loss of Rp 271 trillion ($17 billion) due to environmental damage.

"The investigation team will continue to uncover new facts from this evidence to clarify the ongoing criminal investigation," he added.

The alleged corruption case began when the suspect ALW, who served as the operations director of Timah from 2017-2018, facilitated illegal mining companies along with suspects MRPT and EE.

ALW then offered smelter owners the opportunity to collaborate in purchasing illegally mined tin at prices above the standards set by Timah.

To date, the AGO has named 16 suspects in the case, including socialite Helena Lim and actress Sandra Dewi's husband, Harvey Moeis.
