Bali Airport Resumes Operations

Jakarta. Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport resumed operations after a temporary closure on Friday (29/06).
Airnav Indonesia corporate secretary Didiet Radityo said in a statement that as of 13.25 p.m. local time volcanic ash from Mount Agung's eruption was no longer disrupting the airspace around the airport.
Ngurah Rai Airport's management announced its reopening at 2.30 p.m.

The closure was earlier expected to end at 7.00 p.m.
State-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura said in a statement that as of 2.00 p.m. local time, 318 flights, including 115 international ones, had been cancelled, affecting around 27,000 passengers.
