Jakarta. Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo introduces a unique anti-corruption campaign targeting his own subordinates by sticking stickers reading a daring oath to never commit corruption on government cars.

The sticker carries a Javanese sentence that translates to “If I commit corruption, I won’t be safe”.

Ganjar symbolically put the stickers on rear windows of several government cars parked near his office in the provincial capital of Semarang.

“This is a reminder as well as a prayer. So if we commit graft, we won’t be secure [from accident],” the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) politician said.

The anti-graft car stickers were part of a series of local government’s activities to observe the International Anti-Corruption Day that falls on Monday. The governor also led an anti-corruption rally involving students from various schools in Semarang on Sunday.
