Firza Husein Named a Suspect in Rizieq Pornography Case

Jakarta. The Jakarta Police on Wednesday (17/05) named Firza Husein a suspect in an ongoing pornography case allegedly implicating firebrand Islamist cleric Rizieq Shihab.
Firza is accused of sharing pornographic content, including nude pictures of herself, in WhatsApp chats with the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) leader.
The photographs and screen shots of their conversations have recently gone viral on social media.
The police obtained sufficient evidence to name Firza a suspect after a 12-hour questioning on Tuesday.
Firza's lawyer Azis Yanuar said the questioning took a toll on her health.
"Her condition is not good, a doctor came yesterday to check her," he said.
Police investigators also collected statements from other parties, including Firza's friend known as Emma, whose name was mentioned in the WhatsApp chats.
Azis expressed his hope that Firza will not be detained as she has been cooperating with the police.
"All questions were answered, she didn't reject any of them. She also signed the investigation report," he said.
If convicted, Firza can face up to six years in prison.
Meanwhile, Rizieq has already twice ignored the police summons and now can be taken by force to attend a questioning.
He is reportedly on a pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
