Jakarta. President-Elect Prabowo Subianto called some of his potential ministers to his Kertanegara residence on Monday, although nobody from outside his coalition of parties had come so far.

As his inauguration nears, Prabowo is expected to summon some of his ministerial candidates to his residence over the next few days. Some party leaders – including the National Mandate Party (PAN) chair Zulkifli Hasan and Democrats’ chair Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono -- already showed up to the Indonesian incoming president’s home. Golkar’s chairman Bahlil Lahadalia was also among the senior politicians that came to Kertanegara. Other names included Golkar politician Nusron Wahid, Gerindra’s Maruarar Sirait, Crescent Star Party’s founder Yusril Ihza Mahendra. Indonesian activist Natalius Pigai was also present.

Judging by the names so far, only politicians of parties from Prabowo’s grand alliance Advance Indonesia Coalition (KIM) got summoned by the ex army general as his candidate ministers. KIM is a giant coalition of parties that backed Prabowo’s presidential bid in the February election.

It is no surprise that Prabowo would prioritize politicians from the KIM coalition to be in his cabinet. Nobody from outside the KIM alliance -- including the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and the National Democratic Party (Nasdem) -- had shown up to Kertanegara, according to Beritasatu.com.

Nasdem’s Secretary-General Hermawi Taslim not long ago said that his party is set on not being part of Prabowo’s ministerial cabinet, although they would fully back the future government through “other contributions”.

PKS has said that they would support Prabowo’s government and not become an opposition party.

Both PKS and Nasdem were rooting for Prabowo’s rival Anies Baswedan in the February presidential election.

No one from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) had come to Kertanegara so far as of Monday afternoon. Even so, Prabowo and PDI-P’s chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri intend to meet before the former’s  inauguration on Oct. 20. The meeting will likely reveal PDI-P’s stance towards the Prabowo government. PDI-P had previously endorsed Ex Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo’s presidential bid.

“It is such an honor to be part of Mr. Prabowo’s team. I was asked to play a strategic role. …  I am ready to do my job for myself, my family and of course the Democratic party,” Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono told the press in Kertanegara on Monday.
