Jakarta. Ganjar Pranowo's presidential campaign team called on all supporters to remain calm and await the conclusion of the official vote counting process, following quick count results from Wednesday’s election by various pollsters that indicate a clear victory for rival candidate Prabowo Subianto.

Major research agencies are reporting quick count results suggesting an outright victory for Prabowo with 57-60 percent of the vote.

Ganjar is placed in third, securing less than 18 percent of the vote, trailing behind Prabowo and Anies Baswedan (23-25 percent). Most of the results are based on more than 70 percent of incoming votes.

“To all supporters of Brother Ganjar and [running mate] Mr. Mahfud, please be patient because the process is still ongoing,” campaign team chairman Arsjad Rasjid said in a news conference in Jakarta.

“It’s crucial to gather evidence of suspected election fraud, and we have received numerous reports. We appreciate all supporters who provided us with recorded videos and other materials documenting activities at their respective polling stations,” he added.

Arsjad said the campaign team will continue to work until the final results are officially announced next month.

“Let’s pray for our democracy to sustain and maintain the confidence of international communities in Indonesia because we need global support to boost investment and create new jobs,” said Arsjad, who is also the chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).

Ganjar, addressing reporters in Jakarta after the release of quick count results by various pollsters, suggested that his camp will wait until the official tally is concluded.

“Do you believe that my results are like that?” he responded to a question from journalists about the quick count results.
