Jakarta. State-owned insurance company Jasa Raharja said they would pay the entire hospital bills for people who get involved in traffic accidents this upcoming Ramadan exodus.

Jasa Raharja will also provide compensation money for the victims.

“So no worries. Jasa Raharja is ready to serve at all hospitals,” Jasa Raharja president director Rivan Purwantono shortly after seeing off BTV’s teams for the Eid homecoming on Friday, as reported by Beritasatu.

According to Rivan, Jasa Raharja has partnered with 2,517 hospitals. So the victims can receive medical treatment free of charge without any claim processes.

“Yes [it is free]. Everything is taken care of. They [the victims] should get compensation for injuries or death,” Rivan said.

An injured victim will get Rp 20 million (around $1,352) in compensation money. Jasa Raharja will grant Rp 50 million in the case of deceased victims.

“[People] do not need to apply for this compensation because they will receive the compensation automatically,” Rivan said.

According to Rivan, anyone who regularly pays their vehicle registration certificate taxes will automatically be linked to the road traffic accident fund.

“With this fund, you will automatically be covered and are eligible for compensation,” Rivan said.

“Don’t forget to inform the hospitals that you will be using the compensation from Jasa Raharja. Remember to report traffic accidents to the police,” he added.
