Jakarta. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has instructed Education Minister Muhadjir Effendy to make the government's welfare programs available to more citizens.

Speaking during a ministerial meeting, the president reiterated his wish for the distribution of the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) and Indonesia Health Card (KIS) to all orphans across Indonesia.

"I called on the education minister last night to ensure that the Indonesia Smart Card and Indonesia Health Card are distributed to all orphans in the country, effective immediately," Jokowi said at the Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday (04/01).

He said this measure is part of the government's efforts to implement social justice, and that it also highlighted the importance of improving the nation's character and mentality.
