Jokowi Meets With Islamic Cooperation Countries
Jakarta. President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla have held a meeting with heads of states from some of the 46 member countries of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) during the Asian-African Conference that is currently being held in Indonesia.
The meeting was attended by delegations including Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Jordan, Oman, Turkey, Mali, Sudan, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria and Pakistan.
“There are three issues that we discussed," Joko said on Wednesday. "First, Palestine; second, terrorism and radicalism; and the third was conflict in each country or conflicts between Islamic countries."
Joko also said that the United Nations should play a greater role in solving problems in Islamic countries.
