Jakarta. The national antigraft agency has completed the initial hearing of a high-ranking official of the Indonesian Maritime Security Agency, or Bakamla, who was nabbed in a sting operation in Jakarta.

Eko Susilo Hadi, deputy head for legal affairs and cooperation at Bakamla, left the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) building around 12.30 p.m. on Thursday (15/12) in the trademark orange vest worn by KPK detainees.

Three other persons arrested in the sting operation are believed to have bribed Eko who, according to Bakamla chief Rear Adm. Arie Soedewo, was handling three procurement projects worth Rp 400 billion ($29.5 million).

KPK is expected to announce Eko's legal status later today.
