Jakarta. The format for the final debate of the 2024 Presidential Election on Feb. 4  will remain unchanged. According to The Chairman of the Election Commission (KPU), Hasyim Asy'ari, the debate will consist of six segments lasting 120 minutes with intervals and commercials.

"The debate format, including its organizers, remains the same," Hasyim said in Jakarta on Thursday.

The format remains consistent with previous debates, featuring six segments covering opening presentations, answering panelists' questions, participant-to-participant exchanges, and concluding statements.

Hasyim said that supporters of each candidate would continue to be present at the fifth and final debate. This comes after a suggestion from Rahmat Bagja, the Chairman of the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu), who was concerned about the possible disruption caused by supporters during the debate. Each campaign team is allowed to bring 75 supporters.

"I believe each presidential candidate, vice-presidential candidate, and their teams already have strategies and methods considered effective by each. This debate serves as their final performance to convince voters. As for strategies and debating methods, those are the affairs of each candidate and their teams," said Hasyim.

The final debate of the 2024 Presidential Election will feature the three presidential candidates: Anies Baswedan, Prabowo Subianto, and Ganjar Pranowo. The debate is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024. The themes for the final debate include social welfare, culture, education, information technology, health, employment, human resources, and inclusion.

While the KPU and the organizing television network have not determined the debate location, it is confirmed that the event will be held in Jakarta.
