Jakarta. Police anti-terrorism squad Detachment 88 has arrested several people with alleged links to a terror network, including an employee of state-owned company Krakatau Steel in Banten and a teacher in Cianjur, West Java.

Krakatau Steel's corporate secretary Pria Utama on Friday confirmed the arrest of the company's employee, which was said to be linked to the stabbing attack on former coordinating minister for political, legal and security affairs Wiranto in Banten in October.

"[The man] was a supervisor at Krakatau Steel, not a top official. Krakatau Steel as a state-owned enterprise fully supports the government's efforts in combating terrorism," Pria said in a statement.

Wiranto was stabbed in his stomach in Pandeglang, Banten, during an official visit. He survived the attack but had to undergo surgery.

Banten Police spokesman Chief Comr. Edy Sumardy said Detachment 88 arrested four individuals in Banten on Wednesday, all identified by their initials: 28-year-old D.A., Q.K., 54, A.P., 45 and M.A., 45. One of them is the Krakatau Steel employee.

Police have arrested at least 36 members of Islamic State-affiliated network Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD), including a husband and wife couple who attacked Wiranto, since the incident.

On Thursday, Detachment 88 also caught D.S., 24, a teacher at a state-run Islamic junior high school in Cianjur, West Java, when he was on his way to work.

The school's public relations officer Agus Sutisna said D.S. was an information technology teacher. He also services and maintains computers and laptops at the school.

D.S. was arrested with his wife D.K.

A series of arrests had also been made in several locations in Sumatra after Wednesday's suicide bomb attack at the Medan Police headquarters that killed the bomber and injured six others, including five policemen.
