Jakarta. The local distributor of Mercedes-Benz has supplied 60 luxury sedans for the upcoming inauguration of Prabowo Subianto as Indonesia’s eighth president, scheduled for Sunday. The vehicles will transport distinguished guests, including world leaders and other high-profile attendees.

The State Secretariat announced that the Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedans will be the official vehicles for the inauguration, emphasizing their use for heads of state and other state guests.

"We will deploy 60 Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedans as official transportation for heads of state and VVIP guests attending the presidential and vice-presidential inauguration ceremony," the Secretariat posted on Instagram.

Prabowo and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka are set to be sworn in at the legislature building.

Roelof Lamberts, CEO of Inchcape Indomobil Distribution Indonesia, symbolically handed over the vehicles to State Secretariat Secretary Setya Utama in Jakarta.

“This inauguration will be attended by state dignitaries and other prominent figures. The State Secretariat is responsible for ensuring the availability of VVIP vehicles for this significant event," Setya stated.

Lamberts expressed pride in Mercedes-Benz’s continued role in Indonesia’s historic events.

“For over five decades, Mercedes-Benz has been the trusted vehicle supplier for Indonesian presidents, from Soekarno to Joko Widodo. This reflects our ongoing commitment to the safety and comfort of world leaders. Our involvement in this inauguration is a concrete contribution to Indonesia,” Lamberts added.
