Jakarta. A person wearing full-face veil was shot to death for allegedly trying to attack with a handgun at the National Police headquarters in South Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon.
Police have yet to confirm if the person is a man or a woman.
An amateur video circulating on social media shows the person in blue niqab and black gown walked into the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) building at the police compound and pointed a gun in front of the door.
The person was ultimately shot and fell to the ground. A pistol and a yellow paper folder can be seen near the body.
Police said they will hold a press conference later today.
The incident came only three days after a couple blew themselves up near a Catholic church in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
The church bombing injured at least 20 people.
