Jakarta. Police have arrested two men on suspicion of selling drugs to popular 1980s musician Fariz Rustam Munaf, a day after the troubled musician was busted with heroin and marijuana at his home, Indonesian media reported on Wednesday.

South Jakarta Police arrested the two men after "intensive questioning" of Fariz at the Jakarta Police headquarters following his arrest on Tuesday, reported newportal Detik.com.

The singer-songwriter, better known as Fariz R.M., was arrested at his home in the Bintaro Jaya township in southern Jakarta a day after his birthday.

An unnamed police officer quoted by the Indonesian newsportal said the men were arrested in South Jakarta and were being interrogated at the South Jakarta station.

Adj. Sr. Comr. Hando Wibowo, head of South Jakarta police's narcotics division, refused to elaborate further on the case.

Police confiscated a package of heroin and marijuana as wells as drug paraphernalia from Fariz on Tuesday.  A urine test also came out positive for traces of marijuana, methamphetamine and heroin in the 56-year-old's system.

Fariz, who rose to fame in the 1980s with his hits such as “Barcelona” and “Sakura," could face either jail time or a rehabilitation order if he is convicted under Indonesia's harsh drug laws.
