Jakarta. President-elect Prabowo Subianto shared snapshots of his warm conversations with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday.

Jokowi graciously welcomed his future successor, who had recently returned from diplomatic trips to China, Japan, and Malaysia, where he met with respective leaders.

Prabowo, who also serves as the defense minister, met with the president following a ceremony at the palace to install the new chief of staff of the Air Force, said his spokesman, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak.

"Mr. Prabowo briefed the president on the outcomes of his visits to China, Japan, and Malaysia," Dahnil said.

During his diplomatic missions, Prabowo was accorded the honors befitting a future Indonesian president, receiving personal welcomes from Chinese President Xi Jinping, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

The photographs shared by Prabowo depicted a palpable warmth and camaraderie between the president-elect and the incumbent leader, noted communication expert Anthony Leong.

"This meeting dispelled any lingering doubts about their relationship. Mr. Jokowi and Mr. Prabowo exhibit genuine friendliness and affection, ensuring a seamless transition of power and the continuation of current government initiatives," said Anthony.
