Jakarta. President-elect Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to announce the names of his cabinet ministers on Sunday evening, following his official inauguration as Indonesia's eighth president at the MPR/DPR building in Jakarta on Sunday morning.

Ahmad Muzani, Secretary General and Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), confirmed this after the final rehearsal for the inauguration at the Nusantara I building in the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday.

"After the state dinner this evening, he will announce the cabinet," Muzani stated.

He explained that after the inauguration, Prabowo will proceed to the Presidential Palace, where he will be welcomed by Joko "Jokowi" Widodo.

"The plan is for Mr. Prabowo to head to the palace after the inauguration. Mr. Jokowi will arrive first to welcome the newly inaugurated president," he elaborated.

Following their entrance to the palace together, Muzani noted that shortly thereafter, Jokowi would leave for Solo.

Earlier this week, Prabowo interviewed 108 potential candidates for ministerial and agency head positions. On the first day, 49 candidates were interviewed at his residence on Jalan Kartanegara in South Jakarta.

Notable figures in attendance included Zulkifli Hasan, Chair of the National Mandate Party (PAN); Bahlil Lahadalia, Chair of Golkar; Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Chair of the Democratic Party; Yusril Ihza Mahendra, founder of the Crescent Star Party (PBB); and Muhaimin Iskandar, Chair of the National Awakening Party (PKB), who was previously Anies Baswedan's running mate in the 2014 election against Prabowo.

Other prominent candidates included Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani, and human rights activist Natalius Pigai.

On Tuesday, 59 figures, expected to assume roles primarily as deputy ministers and heads of agencies, gathered at Prabowo's residence to sign agreements to join his administration.

These figures come from diverse backgrounds, including professionals, political party members, public figures, and academics. Among those present were public figures Raffi Ahmad and Anis Matta, Chairman of the Gelora Party.
