Jakarta. Raffi Ahmad, founder of RANS Entertainment, has been officially appointed as the campaign manager for Andra Soni and Dimyati Natakusumah’s gubernatorial and vice gubernatorial campaign in the 2024 Banten election. The 37-year-old entertainer will lead the Andra-Dimyati team with the aim of securing victory in the regional race.

Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, the Daily Chairperson of the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), expressed hope that Raffi’s involvement would increase the chances of success for the Andra-Dimyati ticket.

Raffi and his wife Nagita, who boasts76 million followers on Instagram, are not aligned with any political party, but during the 2024 Presidential Election, they supported Gerindra chairman Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who were elected president and vice president.

Andra’s platform emphasizes key areas such as education, healthcare, and job creation, which he believes are critical indicators of government performance, commonly referred to as the Human Development Index (HDI).

"Development is not just about infrastructure; it's about the people too," Andra remarked during a visit to the B-Universe office.

The 2024 Banten gubernatorial election will feature two pairs of candidates. Andra Soni and Dimyati Natakusumah are supported by Gerindra, PKS, Nasdem, PKB, PAN, PPP, and the Democratic Party, collectively known as the "Koalisi Banten Maju." Their opponents, Airin Rachmi Diany and Ade Sumardi are backed by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and the Golkar Party.
