Jakarta. Five days before the end of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's term, a survey by Lingkaran Survei Indonesia (LSI) Denny JA revealed that the President's approval rating reached 80.8 percent.

"As President Jokowi's term comes to an end, our survey shows that satisfaction remains high, with 80.8 percent of respondents expressing contentment," said Adjie Alfaraby, a researcher at LSI Denny JA, during a press conference in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, 18.5 percent of respondents reported dissatisfaction with Jokowi’s performance.

The survey also analyzed public satisfaction based on demographic segments. Both male and female respondents expressed high satisfaction levels, with 82 percent of men and 79.5 percent of women satisfied with Jokowi’s leadership.

In terms of religion, satisfaction rates remained consistently high, with 78.7 percent of Muslim respondents approving, while 93 percent of non-Muslim respondents were satisfied.

Generational differences revealed that Generation Z and millennials had the highest satisfaction levels, with percentages exceeding 75 percent. The highest dissatisfaction rate, 21.1 percent, was recorded among Generation X respondents.

Satisfaction with Jokowi’s performance also exceeded 70 percent across all education levels. However, Adjie noted a decline in satisfaction as education levels increased. "The more educated the respondents, the lower the satisfaction rate," he explained.

The survey was conducted using a multi-random sampling method, involving 1,200 respondents through face-to-face interviews with questionnaires. It was carried out from September 26 to October 3, 2024, with a margin of error of ± 2.9 percent. Qualitative research was also incorporated to provide more comprehensive results.
