Three Dutch Tourists Questioned Over Indecent Photos at Mount Bromo

Probolinggo. Three Dutch tourists were questioned by the police following an inappropriate photo session at the iconic Sea of Sand in Mount Bromo, East Java on Thursday.
The tourists, identified as Martjin Jacop-Johhanes, Sem Elisabeth Maria Fransisca, and Nina Petronella Jacoba Maria, were photographed lowering their pants and exposing their lower bodies while posing on a rented red Jeep.
The indecent photos quickly spread online after being posted by the Jeep's driver, known as Pepeng Jeep, on his WhatsApp status.
The group, which included two female and one male tourist, was accompanied by Rico Hadi, the Jeep driver, and Bima, their tour guide. They were all immediately brought in for questioning at the Sukapura Police Station.
Jamhari, the Sukapura Police Chief, confirmed that the foreign tourists entered through the Cemorolawang entrance, located in Ngadisari Village, Sukapura District, Probolinggo Regency.
"We are conducting a thorough investigation of everyone involved in this pornographic act," said Jamhari on Thursday. "There were a total of 16 people in the group, and three of them were involved in the photo session."
Sunaryono, the head of Ngadisari Village and a prominent Tengger tribe figure, expressed his disappointment over the disgraceful actions of the three tourists. He urged all visitors to respect the customs and traditions of the Tengger community.
"I hope all tourism operators in Bromo will work together to preserve both its physical and non-physical aspects," Sunaryono emphasized. He also mentioned that those involved in spreading the indecent photos would face traditional sanctions.
This incident serves as a reminder for tourists to adhere to local customs and respect the cultural heritage of the places they visit.
