Jakarta Prepares 18 Hotels To Accomodates AACC Delegates
AACC2015, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama stated that 18 hotels in Jakarta are ready to receive guests or delegates who will participate in the Commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of Asian African Conference (AAC) in Jakarta.
"For the AAC event, 18 hotels are ready to having guests or delegations," said Basuki at Jakarta City Hall, Friday (17/4).
He explained that beside the accomodation, there are still few works that had to be done immediately, such as repainting pedestrian bridges. The works had been hampered because of the rain. “We are trying to finish it. However, for decoration such as flowers and others are already done,” he said.
Ahok also ensure that the ongoing infrastructure constructions will not causing any problems. They will cover the instruction sites with tarps.
Regarding security arrangement, he confirmed that the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI)have understood their own duties. “The police understand better about security, and the good thing is we have the Commander of TNI as part of AAC Committee, thus all personnels will be involved in this event. We do not want to miss a single spot. We even already asked Army’s Special forces (Kopassus) to be prepared,” he said. (Translator: Rina Alexandra, Editor: Mia. M. Bonaedy)
