Nine Broadcasting Commissioners Selected After Fit-and-Proper Test
Jakarta. The House of Representatives selected nine candidates to be the next commissioners of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission, or KPI, on Tuesday (19/07) after a two-day fit-and-proper test.
A total of 27 people took part in the fit-and-proper test. The House's Commission I — which oversees communication and defense affairs — finally selected nine of them to be the new KPI commissioners through a vote.
According to Commission I chairman Abdul Kharis Almasyhari, the selected candidates are Nuning Rodiyah, Sudarwanto Rahmat Muhammad Arifin, Yuliandrie Darwis, Ubaidillah, Dewi Setyarini, H Obsatar Sinaga, Mayong Suryo Laksono, Hardly Stefano Fenelon Pariela and Agung Suprio.
Their names will be submitted to the government for approval. The new commissioners are due to start their term next year.
