Jakarta. The crowd at Wisma Proklamasi, the campaign headquarters of Jakarta gubernatorial candidate Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono and his running mate Sylviana Murni, in Menteng, Central Jakarta, is growing restless waiting for their candidate to arrive.

Sylviana arrived at 2 p.m., other supporters, including Democratic Party lawmaker Dede Yusuf were there shortly after.

Reporters at Wisma Proklamasi, which is also the headquarters of the Democratic Party, were present 11 a.m., waiting for Agus's' press conference. Agus, however, is nowhere to be seen.

Several media agencies at 4.30 p.m., started to leave the venue. Supporters, too, were seen dejected after various quick count surveys indicated Agus is unlikely to make it to the second round of the gubernatorial race.

From the quick count results, the pair is at the losing end, with 16.80 percent of votes, according to Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting.

Many attribute Agus-Sylviana's poor chances of winning to Agus's father's, former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, involvement in the election campaign.
