Jakarta. Cinemaxx, the Lippo Group's movie theater chain, announced the opening of a new cinema in Citimall Ketapang in West Kalimantan on Wednesday (21/02).
The new theater is an ideal entertainment option for moviegoers and families in Ketapang and surrounding areas. It is the company's third in Kalimantan after Cinemaxx Citimall Sampit and Cinemaxx Living Plaza Balikpapan.
The venue has four 688-seat Cinemaxx Regular theaters that screen local and international releases in 2-D and 3-D digital format.
To promote the new theater, Cinemaxx Citimall Ketapang will be collaborating with digital payment platform OVO to offer members a 99 percent cashback on their favorite films between Feb. 21 and Feb. 25.
The opening of the new cinema is set to feature fantasy movies for the whole family, including "Monster Hunt 2" and the long-awaited Indonesian romantic feature "Eiffel… I'm in Love 2," along with Marvel's latest blockbuster "Black Panther," which raked in $192 million on its first weekend in the United States and Canada.
Moviegoers can view show schedules and book tickets directly on Cinemaxx's official website, or use the company's smartphone app, available on Google Play and Apple's App Store.
Tickets will cost Rp 30,000 ($2) on weekdays and Rp 40,000 on weekends and holidays.
Cinemaxx currently has a total of 197 digital screens in 40 locations across the country.
