Jakarta. Nobu Bank signed an agreement with the Citizenship and Civil Records Agency, or Dukcapil, on Thursday (22/06) to cooperate for better validation of customers' personal details.

In a statement received by the Jakarta Globe on Friday, Nobu Bank said the agreement allows it to access civil records such as customers' addresses and dates of birth through their citizenship identification numbers that appear on their national identity cards, or KTP.

Nobu Bank president director Suhaimin Johan and finance director Hendra Kurniawan attended that signing ceremony along with Dukcapil director Zudan Arif Fakrulloh.

Suhaimin expressed appreciation for Dukcapil's willingness to cooperate with the banking sector to make civil records accessible.

"The records are important to Nobu Bank, especially to facilitate the bank in validating the authenticity of customer's identity when they register for an account, as well as for digital-based services in the future," Suhaimin said.
