Jakarta. Holland Village Manado, a new township developed by property developer Lippo Karawaci in Manado, North Sulawesi, is now open to residents.
Three families moved into homes in the township in an opening ceremony on Thursday (27/07), according to a company statement.
Holland Village is the first mixed-use smart city development project in the area by Lippo Homes, a subsidiary of Lippo Karawaci. Located in Manado's central business district, only six minutes from nearby Sam Ratulangi Airport, Holland Village combines residential and commercial spaces.
Nearly all 500 homes built in the township have been sold to private owners, though not all of have been completed yet.
Holland Village is also home to the Dian Harapan international school, which opened its doors last year.
"We are currently devising plans to start the second stage of development as well as finalize the development of our water pond facility, where our system is built based on international standards," Holland Village general manager Vonny Manoi said.
Lippo Karawaci and the Jakarta Globe are both affiliated with the Lippo Group.
