"For the FUNwalk event, we wanted to strengthen the bond between Telkom employees while promoting the 18th Asian Games," Arif Prabowo, Telkom vice president for corporate communications, said during the opening ceremony.
He added that as the official telecommunications partner of the Asian Games, Telkom plays a key role because information and communications infrastructure is important to the event's success.
As one of the largest state-owned companies in the information and communications industry, Telkom said it will fully support the Asian Games through the provision of communication infrastructure and the best service it can offer to match other countries that previously hosted the sporting event.
Telkom also showed its support and appreciation of disabled athletes and the sports community in general during Sunday's event.
