Telkom Craft Indonesia 2018 Attracts Rp 20 Billion
Jakarta. The Telkom Craft Indonesia 2018 exhibition, which ended on Sunday (25/03), attracted transactions worth approximately Rp 20.1 billion ($1.41 million), much more than last year.
Present during the event was Gatot Trihargo, financial services deputy at the Ministry of State Enterprises, who said this year's theme, "Local Heroes to Global Champions," is likely to become a self-fulfilling prophecy for the country's small and medium-sized enterprises.
"Hopefully it will be getting better each year, especially in terms of the number of visitors, transactions, product quality and creativity," Gatot said in a statement on Monday.
Telkom's human resources director, Herdy Harman, expressed his satisfaction with the event, as the transaction value surpassed the target.
This, according to Herdy, indicates that SMEs are gaining the trust of the market.
"The quality of their products is now high enough to compete on the international market," he said.
More than 400 SMEs participated in the event, with 224 booths overseen by Telkom, 104 by other state-owned enterprises, and 72 representing various communities and associations. The booths were divided into three categories: fashion (209 stands), craft (115) and food (76).
All products showcased by the Telkom Craft exhibitors are now available online at Blanja.com.
