Telkom and Telstra to Establish Global Delivery Center for ICT in Indonesia
In order to meet the demands of information technology services in the global market, president director of Telkom, Alex J. Sinaga and president director of Telstra, Andrew Penn recently signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Jakarta on Wednesday (31/01).
According to Alex J. Sinaga, the establishment of the GDC in Indonesia has finally reached the right momentum to increase the global exposure of various ICT (information and communications technology) talents from Indonesia as well as establishing a pathway to reach global business opportunities.
"The cooperative initiative with Telstra also proves that TelkomGroup's ICT talents in Indonesia are well recognized internationally " said Alex.
Andrew Penn further explained that the memorandum of understanding also aims too explore and develop various initiatives such as the formation of a new team from Indonesia, while also supporting the services of Telstra's customers across Asia Pacific.
"This MoU will be valuable in presenting opportunities for Indonesian workers to perform within an international environment," said Andrew.
In addition to opening new opportunities for Indonesian talents, the GDC establishment in Indonesia would also provide opportunities for both companies to discuss further business cooperation in the future, which would include an employee exchange program, exploration of internet businesses, media & satellite, consultations and professional services in the field of ICT and outsourcing, among other things.
