Astra Honors Five Young Innovators at 15th SATU Indonesia Awards

Jakarta. In commemoration of Youth Pledge Day on October 29, 2024, Astra awarded five inspiring young individuals through the 15th SATU Indonesia Awards 2024.
These youth have collaborated and contributed to creating sustainable living in five fields: health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, and technology. The 15th SATU Indonesia Awards 2024 were presented directly by Astra's President Director, Djony Bunarto Tjondro. The event was also attended by Astra’s Board of Directors and Executives, the Jury of the SATU Indonesia Awards, and past recipients from 2010 to 2023.
"From the past until now, the youth of Indonesia have always played a vital role in the nation's progress. Therefore, for 15 years, Astra has continued to appreciate young Indonesians who are passionate about contributing to their communities and the environment. Let us together continue to spread inspiration and remain enthusiastic in creating sustainable solutions for today and the future of Indonesia," said President Director Djony Bunarto Tjondro in his speech.
The recipients of the 15th SATU Indonesia Awards 2024 are:
- Ayu Fauziyyah Adhimah (Health) - Creator of the Nutrition Education Platform from the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Founded in September 2019, Gizipedia Indonesia is a platform focused on nutrition and health. It is composed of nutrition experts, including dietitians and nutritionists (graduates in nutrition and professional dietitian education), who have valid registration certificates and are members of the Indonesian Nutritionist Association (PERSAGI).
Gizipedia Indonesia is based on the founders' concern about the lack of a space for nutritionists, nutrition students, and the public to discuss and obtain valid knowledge about nutrition.
- Hana Maulida (Education) - Child Protection Advocate Against Sexual Violence from Banten Province.
Kakak Aman Indonesia is an initiative aimed at educating children in kindergarten and elementary school about how to protect themselves from sexual violence. The movement was born out of concern from Hana Maulida and her friends regarding the increasing instances of violence against children, particularly sexual violence. In its activities, Kakak Aman Indonesia provides education on sexuality and sexual violence to children through modules containing information related to sexual education and awareness of sexual violence.
- Kevin Gani (Environment) - Sustainable Food Warrior from East Java Province. Garda Pangan, founded by Kevin Gani in 2017, is a social enterprise addressing food waste and equitable access to food in Surabaya. By collecting surplus food from restaurants and hotels that is still safe for consumption, Garda Pangan distributes it to underserved communities. The organization is committed to reducing food loss and waste while raising awareness about the importance of managing food waste in society.
- Yuyun Ahdiyanti (Entrepreneurship) - Weaver Advocate from Kampung Ntobo, West Nusa Tenggara Province.
Usaha Kecil Mikro (UKM) Dina is an inspiring example of economic empowerment based on local potential. Founded by Yuyun Ahdiyanti in 2015, this small enterprise focuses on Bima woven fabrics and has successfully revived the weaving tradition in her hometown of Ntobo. By addressing challenges related to access to capital and marketing, Yuyun not only promotes her own woven fabrics but also empowers over 200 weavers and 15 tailors in the area.
Through this initiative, Yuyun has created a secure and profitable system where weavers can trust their creations. The success of UKM Dina is evident not only in the increased income of the weavers but also in the heightened awareness and recognition of Bima woven fabrics as a valuable cultural heritage. Initiatives like this are crucial for supporting local economies and preserving traditional crafts.
- Irfan Y. Pratama (Technology) - Remote Network Navigator from DKI Jakarta Province. Awanio is a Cloud Enabler Platform (CEP), a program that allows individuals to manage the cloud, which refers to the space created in the digital world when a server is connected to the internet. This space can be owned outright if the server is managed independently, or it can be rented from a cloud service provider. Since cloud service providers have typically been dominated by global entities from abroad, their servers are not physically stored in Indonesia.

The recipients of the 15th SATU Indonesia Awards 2024 will receive funding assistance of Rp 65 million and support for activities that can collaborate with Astra's sustainable social contributions, such as Astra's Serene Villages and Prosperous Villages.
