BNI Distributes Food Packages, Renovates Temples Ahead of Nyepi

Jakarta. State-owned bank BNI is distributing staple food packages and renovating temples ahead of Nyepi, Balinese Hindu’s day of silence which marks a new year in the Balinese calendar.
The assistance is part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to welcome Nyepi celebration. According to a press statement, BNI is distributing a total of 2,500 food packages across its regional office 08, namely in Bali and West Nusa Tenggara. The packages include rice, sugar, instant noodles, and tea, among others. Receiving these packages are orphans, the elderly, the widowed, and the poor.
Other CSR initiatives include the Dharmasanti I procession, as well as assistance for orphans in Bali's Bangli regency.
BNI corporate secretary Okki Rushartomo Budiprabowo said that BNI is spreading happiness and helping the people in need to welcome this year’s Nyepi. This is also part of BNI’s efforts to achieve the sustainable development goal of achieving a poverty and hunger-free Indonesia.
“Our mission is to raise the awareness and sense of responsibility towards the environment and the people,” Okki said while adding that this program takes place every year to help one another.
