BNI to Run 86 Outlets, 48 O-Branch This Eid Holiday

Jakarta. State-owned bank BNI will operate 86 outlets and 48 “O-Branch” services this upcoming Eid holiday, according to a press release.

BNI has readied 168,733 Agen46 agents, 13,407 ATM/CRM, and 375,538 EDCs as 123 million Indonesians are forecast to travel back to their hometowns to celebrate Eid.

“We welcome the 2023 Eid al-Fitr. We will continue to improve our channel readiness to make people more comfortable,” BNI director for network and services Ronny Venir was quoted as saying in a recent press statement.

According to Ronny, the branches will serve deposits, withdrawals, transfers between BNI accounts, online payment banking system redemption, tax payment, and Bureau of Logistics transactions, among others, in a limited manner.

BNI will place the O-Branches in strategic locations during the Ramadan exodus to serve withdrawals in partnership with Bank Indonesia via the 2023 Serambi program. They will also enable customers to make online transactions between banks and top up their Tapcash. BNI will set up 15 O-branch in rest areas throughout the highway in Sumatra and Java islands. As well as 4 O-branch in terminals/stations/airports, and 29 O-Branches in a number of shopping centers, crowded places, and town squares.

Agen46 agents, the extension of the bank, will also be on guard so homecoming travelers can open accounts, withdraw money, make a deposit/payment, and top-up their TapCash e-money card.

The bank will also make sure that the BNI’s e-channels, including BNI Mobile Banking, internet banking, SMS banking, BNI Direct, and ATM/CRM are available 24/7, according to the press release.

Business Hours for Branch Offices 

April 19 (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.): 68 outlets for deposits/withdrawals/transfers/account opening/payment deposits for Pertamina’s fuel oil/banknote transactions.

April 20 (10 a.m.-12 p.m.): 64 special outlets for payment deposits of Pertamina’s fuel oil.

April 21-23: No limited operations

April 24 (10 a.m.-12 p.m.): 64 special outlets for payment deposits of Pertamina’s fuel oil.

April 25 (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.): 64 outlets for deposits/withdrawals/transfers/account opening/payment deposits for Pertamina’s fuel oil/banknote transactions.

BNI has arranged limited operational schedules for its customers overseas. The bank’s overseas branches will also operate normally during the Eid holidays. However, weekend banking at the Singapore branch will not be available on April 22-23.

The state revenue module transactions are available during the limited operations period on April 19 and April 25. Real-time gross settlement/clearing transfers during the Eid holidays will be unavailable as it follows Bank Indonesia’s schedules. The RTGS/clearing transfers will normally operate on April 18 and April 26.
