FEBRUARY 28, 2020

The Jakarta. Indonesia's largest state-controlled lender by assets Bank Rakyat Indonesia, or BRI, has joined forces with Turkish Airlines to hold the BRI Europe Travel Fair at the Senayan City shopping center in Jakarta on Thursday.

The fair was opened by Handayani, BRI's consumer business director, Turkish Airlines manager Fatih Guldas and the Turkish Ambassador to Indonesia Mahmut Erol Kilic.

Flight tickets at half-price are available at the fair for travelers who want to travel to Europe, including Turkey and Italy, on a budget.

"We're offering great deals for our customers with special price tickets to exquisite destinations in Europe," Handayani said at the event's opening ceremony in Jakarta on Thursday.

Travel deals at the fair include flights departing from Bali and Jakarta. For instance, a Jakarta-Amsterdam round-trip flight is available starting from a low Rp 7 million ($499). There are also flight deals for as low as Rp 9 million for a Jakarta-London round trip.

BRI credit or debit cardholders can get additional discounts during the fair, Handayani said.

The discounts include a cashback of up to Rp 2 million on a twelve-month installment with a zero percent interest rate. Fifteen lucky customers who open a BritAma Valas account at the fair will also receive free Turkish Airlines tickets. Non-BRI customers can also apply for credit installments or open an account at the BRI booth during the fair.

Entertainment at the fair includes a performance by Indonesian pop band RAN and a discussion on traveling with actress Nikita Willy, social media influencer Jonathan End and travel enthusiast Tantra Tobing.
