City Vision Turns Jakarta’s BRT Shelter into “Art Gallery”

Jakarta. Out-of-home media City Vision recently turned Jakarta’s bus rapid transit (BRT) shelters into an “art gallery”.
The company has turned the interior of BRT stops into paintings from world-renowned artists using digital LEDs for an immersive experience. For instance, the Tosari stop has Van Gogh’s Starry Night. City Vision has picked Claude Monet’s Water Lilies and Poppy Field for Dukuh Atas. As well as Gustav Klimt’s Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer at GBK stop. The shelter also has Hokusai’s Mount Fuji. According to a press release, the interior also has interactive elements that can create an immersive experience for TransJakarta passengers.
The immersive experience is part of City Vision’s bus shelter advertising which it had launched in ten of Jakarta’s BRT shelters along Thamrin-Sudirman street, as well as other hotspots. Those 10 BRT shelters are:HI Roundabout, Tosari, Dukuh Atas, Karet Sudirman, Polda Metro, GBK, Monas, CSW Asean, Harmoni and Ragunan. City Vision also decorates main roads and train stations with iconic digital LEDs and high-quality billboards to accompany commuters on their journey.
“This latest innovation provides opportunities for brands and creative economy businesses to promote their products in a more attractive way, reaching TransJakarta passengers and road users. This will also encourage more people to use public transport,” Meyrick Sumantri, the co-founder and co-CEO of City Vision, was quoted as saying in a recent press statement.
Fadly Hasan, the director of services and business at Jakarta, also commented on the partnership.
“BRT shelters are strategically positioned. BRT stops along Thamrin and Sudirman Street become the right transit center for brands wanting to increase product visibility and awareness.
“City Vision is the only OOH media that has the most complete advertising network in TransJakarta, from inside the bus, outside the bus, to the bus stops. We welcome this latest innovation which will definitely make TransJakarta users more comfortable and convince other people to use TransJakarta," Meyrick said.
