Jakarta. Vocal group GAC held a live performance at the Astra Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout bus station in Jakarta on Sunday’s “car-free day”.

The festivities were part of Astra’s 67th anniversary which fell on Feb. 20. The live stage also chose the theme “Discover Your New Spirit”. Astra decided to work with local artists as a means to support Indonesia’s creative industry. This collaboration also aligns with the company’s anniversary theme, namely: “Astra for Indonesia’s Present and Future.”

“We have grown together with the Indonesian people for 67 years. Astra continues to make innovations and form collaborations that contribute to every step this country is taking. We hope that cross-sectoral collaboration with creative industry players will inspire people for Indonesia’s present and future,” Astra’s chief of corporate affairs Riza Deliansyah was quoted as saying in a press statement.

In the past, Astra has also partnered with Bali-based young artist Yessiow to give the HI Roundabout Astra bus station a new look. In every corner of the station, lies illustrations to inspire passers-by. Astra’s commitment to build Indonesia at the present and in the future also aligns with the company’s support of the country’s sustainable development goals (SDGs).
