Jakarta. Viscose rayon producer Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) continues to promote sustainable fashion at the 2025 Jakarta Fashion Week.

The company has partnered with Duniatex and Matahari for a collaboration titled "Fashion Evolution". This collaboration showcased 48 collections featuring APR's renewable and biodegradable viscose-rayon fibers. Duniatex processed them into quality fabrics. Matahari later turned them into chic collections under the department store chain's brands: Nevada and ZES.

"Our participation at the two-day Jakarta Fashion Week is a real step to support the development of sustainable fashion in Indonesia. We believe that collaboration between sectors can expand the positive impact and public learning about the importance of sustainable materials," said APR President Director Basrie Kamba.

Matahari displays collections for the younger generation that emphasize sustainability, but remain sophisticated and edgy according to current trends. The Nevada collection carries the concept of "Confident Teen Spirit" celebrating individuals who confidently express their uniqueness, featuring viscose-rayon applications through bright colors, combining varsity, denim, and grunge elements. The ZES collection embraced the concept of a "Stress-free Commute" with an elegant contemporary style, using soft and breathable viscose-rayon to provide comfort for everyday urban wear.

Since 2019, APR has continued to be committed to embracing designers, fashion enthusiasts, and textile players to promote sustainable fashion in Indonesia. This year marks the third year that APR has collaborated with local brands at Jakarta Fashion Week, the largest fashion exhibition in Southeast Asia.

In the past, APR had partnered with Matahari to support sustainable fashion through the display of APR's viscose-rayon clothing collection and the Textile Waste Management program.

Duniatex -- one of the largest textile manufacturers in Southeast Asia -- commented on the partnership.

"By having this collaboration, Duniatex confirms its commitment to sustainable textile products and innovation in the Indonesian fashion industry. We want to invite textile industry players in Indonesia to continue to develop and show their best potential. This collaboration is not only about fashion products but also is an effort to advance the textile industry in Indonesia," said Yulius Ari Budi Nugroho, Marketing Manager of Duniatex.
