Jakarta. Property developer Lippo Karawaci teamed up with co-living startup Cove to launch Southeast Asia’s first co-living space dedicated to students.

The Cove Hillcrest is located in the Lippo Karawaci area in Tangerang — just fifteen minutes away by foot from Pelita Harapan University (UPH). Residents can also take a six-minute walk to the Siloam Karawaci Hospital.

Spread across two floors, the property offers 138 rooms with a price tag starting from Rp 4 million ($277).  All rooms have an en-suite bathroom, a study, and storage. A larger room type has its own kitchen — perfect for those who enjoy cooking.

Cove Hillcrest also offers ample facilities starting from a fast WiFi connection and a communal space —complete with a kitchen, lounge, study. Cove Hillcrest also provides weekly housekeeping to keep the area pristine.

Employees at Cove Hillcrest have passed the Covid-19 prevention tests at the Siloam Hospital. Thus students and parents need not worry about the safety procedures at Cove Hillcrest.

According to Lippo Karawaci's chief executive officer John Riady, the co-living trend is rising among students as the government plans to kick off in-person learning next semester.

Both Cove and Lippo Karawaci also welcomed the partnership.

"We both have the same vision of building a community, giving an impact, and becoming the reason for people to live comfortably by providing the best housing for thousands of people in Asia, particularly in Indonesia,” John said.

"Cove is also very pleased to launch a new student co-living concept that will enhance their learning experience,” Cove's chief executive officer and co-founder Guillaume Castagne said.

Cove Hillcrest has already begun accepting orders with the renting period valid from July 30. This coincides with the new academic year in which campuses will open their doors for in-person learning.

Those who place an order in the first three months will get an early bird discount of up to 10 percent and an exclusive prize.

Schedule a survey via the Cove official website. A virtual tour is also available on the website.
